Foo's First Plane Ride!

I went on my first airplane ride this past week, and boy was it an adventure!! Mommy and her supervisor left Kansas City at about 2:30 PM on this past Tuesday, heading for Columbus, Ohio. First we had to stop in Chicago and change planes, though. We we got over Chicago and were getting ready to land, when the person flying the plane came over the loud speaker and annouced that both airports in Chicago were closed due to weather and we had to go BACK to Kansas City! Everyone on the plane was so upset. So, we got back to Kansas City, waited for about 45 minutes, and then left again for Chicago (because the airport opened back up). We finally landed in Chicago, but of course the connection flight to Columbus was already gone. Luckily, they had already booked mommy and her supervisor on a different flight. So, they FINALLY get to Columber at 10:00 PM, to find that they had no luggage! So mommy had to sleep with no pyjamas and with her contacts in, not knowing if she would have clothes for the next morning. Luckily, mommy called down to the hotel desk in the morning, 45 minutes before the conference was set to start, and they said that they had her luggage!! She was so exicted to be able to wear some clean clothes. Don't worry, the ride back home was uneventful (I don't think mommy could have taken much more excitement)!

Maternity Clothes, Here I Come!

Well, it's official...mommy can no longer wear her normal clothes. As of today she is completely in maternity clothes (and yes, with me not even being 12 weeks old yet). I'm just glad to not have those pants with the stiff waist bands crushing me anymore, and it will be nice to not have mommy's belly on display for all who want to see (because the shirts were getting a little short)!

The news is out!

Mommy made the big announcement at work today, so everyone knows. They were all very excited for her. Her boss did suggest that she just give birth to me at the office and then not take a maternity leave, but I don't think that mommy is going to go for that!

Mommy needs to listen to me better!

I thought I had given mommy enough signs telling her that she needed to eat breakfast before she got ready in the morning (i.e. the dry heaving, gagging, and nausea), but obviously it wasn't enough. This morning mommy actually passed out in the shower! Of course, she was totally fine after she ate breakfast. Maybe NOW she'll listen to me!

Mommy has a belly!

Mommy's getting a little belly! She's just excited that she hasn't gained any weight yet. She says she wants her little "baby belly", but I think she will change her mind when she is 9 months pregnant and can barely move!

Daddy Thinks I'm a Fish!

Mommy and daddy went to the doctor again today. They just talked about some boring stuff at first, like family history and down syndrom screening options, but then the doctor pulled out the doppler to try to hear my heart beat. The doctor wasn't able to find it with the doppler yet, so mommy and daddy got to see me again! Well, my ADHD has started really early (daddy says I'm already taking after him) and I wouldn't stop bouncing around during the ultrasound...it kinda tickled! I had fun swimming around and mommy and daddy had fun watching me do it. They were able to see my little arms and legs and heard my heart beat, a fast 166 beats per minute. My mommy will go back to the doctor on May 21, and she should be able to hear the heart beat then with the doppler. Mommy and daddy are just very eager to find out "what" I am...boy or girl. Guess what...I'm not telling what I am until I'm about 20 weeks old. They'll just have to wait a little bit longer ; )

Mommy's First Peak!

Mommy had her first doctor appointment today and she got her first peak at me! She found out that I'm due to be born on 11/20/2007! Mommy and daddy got to see my little heart beating so fast, at 164 beats per minute. They were both so excited and releaved. I am 7 weeks, 6 days old today! Mommy will go back in two weeks and will maybe be able to see me again!
